The Making of: Quality Control Ft Bear Flame

I'll start this off by giving a Massive Shout Out to Fiction Film Studio for all their hard work making this Music Video and of course Behind the Scenes, during pre and post-production. Shout out to the Homie Bear Flame and 2Deep of Annodomination and everybody involved in producing the track.

A few weeks prior to the Music Video Shoot Bear Flame and I were talking about doing a track for the "Real Hip Hop Heads".

One that would help put an End to Mumble Rap and be appreciated by people who really respect the Art Form and more specifically the "Lyrical Content" and "Delivery of Flow". The idea was exactly like what the late and Great Tupac Shakur once said, "Don't just Bob your head to the Beat, Peep the Game". So we set out to make a track that the people would be Proud of and would inevitably bring to Light the Sheer Stupidity and Recklessness of Mumble Rap and how it's Rapidly Dumbing Down a Generation of otherwise Bright and Confident people at the same time.

Over the years Mumble Rappers have Shown Absolutely NO Respect for the Old School Hip Hop Joints and more importantly to its Turbulent History. For them and their Legions of mindless fans, it's all about the "Money, Cars, Rims, Girls and Drugs with that 'Gang Life ' Mentality". The same people who don't give a damn about anything but themselves and rarely ever give anything back to their Struggling Communities/people.

This absolutely sends the wrong message to the younger generation who looks at this lifestyle at face value and thinks it a good idea to be the next real-life "Tony Montana" all the while Ruining their own Lives and the Lives of their Loved Ones who care about them deeply. Not to mention doing harm to all the people around them on a daily basis.

Their Belligerent and Childish Behaviour is slowly but Surely Destroying the Social Fabric of Hip Hop and it's at the very least counter-intuitive. With this in mind, we set out to accomplish this goal without using any Explicit Lyrics.

We sat down at the House got straight to work and started writing the track. Several Hours Later and by day's end, we had the Framework for our Collab.

The Artist known as Bear Flame is widely respected in the Hip Hop scene here in Melbourne, Australia as a very Unique and Extremely Lyrical Force in the Genre. A Freestyle Rapper and a Songwriter with a very Potent and Unique Sound. An Artist who focuses purely on Quality rather than Quantity and after much discussion the track "Quality Control" Ft Bear Flame was Officially Created. So after a few days, we recorded the track and knew we had to make a music video for it. So we decided to Strategically place it in a space where it has Universal Appeal. We then enlisted the help of Fiction Film Studio's David "Dilly" Schreurs to Direct the Music Video. We shot it on Location in Flinders St and then a few side alleyways in the City at Night to give it that iconic "Melbourne" Flavor to it while keeping it true to the Game. Authenticity is Huge reason as to why we do what we do. The Passion of making Quality Content.

On day two we shot the rest of the scenes in the heart of the music scene in Melbourne, Fitzroy. We found some great spots outside the NightCat and in an underground carpark on Johnston St during the day. I can honestly say that is was a lot of fun to make my First Music Video and I was completely Honored to work with one of the Best Emcee's in Game, the Homie Bear Flame and David from Fiction Film Studio. I felt both Blessed and Grateful to have work on "Quality Control" Ft Bear Flame and to be doing what I really love to do which is Hip Hop.
